Please note: it is not possible to go back to the resort using the Palafour chair lift.

Nature preserved

Hiking enthusiasts in Tignes will delight in a 55,000-hectare recreation area in the heart of preserved wilderness. Nearly half the village is located in the Vanoise national Park, which forms – together with the Italian National park “du Grand Paradis” –the most expansive protected area in Western Europe. In this unique park, wild animals (marmots, chamois and ibex) thrive, natural resources abound, and the landscapes take your breath away!

 
Natural wonderland
Hiking in Tignes takes place in a natural wonderland. Day-trips or half-day trips are led by guides. With your guide, you’ll discover the park’s diversity as well as the different areas of his field. Excursions can also be combined with themed evening mixers – your chance to get to know guides and their unusual way of life.
